About Virtual US Airways

Founded with a passion for aviation, Virtual US Airways has grown into a leading virtual airline within the VATSIM and IVAO networks. Our commitment to realism, professionalism, and community makes us a standout choice for both novice and experienced virtual pilots worldwide.

Who We Are

The Virtual US Airways Group is a small and simple virtual airline which was founded in February of 2024 by its current CEO Andres N. The first iteration of the airline saw its operations conducted on the FSHub platform where Andres logged the airline’s first flights and filed the first pireps into the system. Soon after the airline transitioned to its current domain at www.vusair.com and established a web presence which provided pilots with a simple crew center to book and log flights. It was during this first month that the airline saw its first dozen or so pilots join the ranks, and the staff grew along with it.

However, like all startup companies in the real world, challenges arise, and hardships are encountered. A small core group of resolute pilots continued logging flights and maintaining a discord presence. The staff team continued to develop the route system and finalize fleet operations while actively recruiting and searching for members. It must be noted that during this entire time the VA was fighting an uphill battle by attempting what seemed to many something impossible, model the operations of a deceased real-world airline and make it appealing to those who might join.

It was during this period that VUSAIR adopted its four corners policy which aimed at ensuring the long-term survival of the VA as well as its continued growth. These four corners are aptly named as they form the foundation of operations the same way a foundation supports a home or building from settling into the soil below. They are as follows:

Dedication to Members

A virtual airline is only as strong as the members who make it both pilots and staff. A positive in game experience along with positive support outside the simulated flight platforms ensures that members have the best possible environment to thrive in.

Attractive and easy to use website

Members deserve an online presence which is both easy to use and eye pleasing. It is something which they can share with others and where our airline can display what it has to offer to future members.

Teaching and encouraging online flying

Many may be afraid or uneasy about flying online on a network with other pilots and ATC controllers. But a positive experience can be fostered by helping and assisting members cross that threshold. Thereby facilitate entrance to an environment which can make the hobby more fun.

Seek Partnerships

A virtual airline is not only made strong by the members who are at the core of it, but also by those on the outside. Flight simulation communities, associations and online networks can provide resources and guidance to improve the experience of members. A partnership such as with a Star Alliance VA which US Airways was a part of can open new doors and experiences for the members of VUSAIR.
